Ciocollo/Grand Palazzo Royale Pampanga

There are lots of hidden nice places in the philippines. Pinoys just dont discover it yet. I on the other hand just recently discovered a beautiful place called Grand palazzo Royale,. or some people know it as ciocollo. Ciocollo is a coffee shop in the middle of a beautiful italian/victorian style setting and its a place usually used for different occasions such as debut, birthday, wedding, baptism etc.. its perfect because inside, theres also a church and different rooms for special occasions, depending on what kind of royal treatment you'd like to experience. its actually my kind of style and id love to spend my special day there. Too bad i didn't have the chance to take pictures of their different ballrooms, i wonder if it can be compared to Las Vegas' Venetian hotel. =)

Brazo de mercedes Cheescake. One of the best in Ciocollo. the best for me so far, I really enjoyed this mouth watering dessert. :) how i wish they sell it in manila.

(bottom) view outside ciocollo.

(bottom) Ferrero Cake. it was also super good but my brazo over powered this cake.

John's kitchen (Angeles Pampanga)

I had the chance to eat at the famous john's kitchen restaurant in Pampanga. My tita told me that the restaurant owner is a young chef who worked in Australia and decided to have his own restaurant at his hometown. The restaurant only opens for dinner. It was a big hit for kapampangans not only because of the awesome food but also because of the cheap price. I really enjoyed the food!:)

Kabigting's halo halo (pampanga)

My cousin told me one of the must try's in pampanga is their Kabigting's halo halo. Its not like the usual halo halo with lots of colorful toppings. Its mostly made of sticky mashed beans and pastillas. Its actually really good and it levels up with Razon's halo halo but with different genres i guess haha

Getting ready to buy halo halo!! :)

thats the pastillas they put in the halo halo.. its so milky creamy.. really good.:)

Pampanga food 2

Kapampangans are known for their amazing cooking skills and they always have the best food served on the table even just for an ordinary day. But sunday was not an ordinary day for tita Gi's amigas. it was a farewell/bday party of one of their amigas and my tita tagged me along so i can try their food (american/filipino/italian style). I was reluctant to go at first since i dont know anyone else from there except her and my cousin. But i didn't regret coming, in fact i wish we should've stayed longer so i can get hungry again and eat again for the nth time.

(top) started my meal with salad. im not sure what you call it, i was too hungry to remember.

(top) The main food! of course the roast beef :)

Mini potatoes for side dish:)

Mashed potato for another side dish. But i ate it like rice along with my roast beef.

Corn for another side dish :)

big shrimps made with love, this one was too difficult to do because they had to get the shrimp meat and leave the intact shrimp shell so they can  mash it with garlic, onion etc then put it back again in the shell. it is topped with some kind of cheese.

My favorite for the night, aside from the roast beef. This is made of different kinds of berries like, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries etc.. of course there are no berries like these here except for strawberries so one of the amigas had to bring some from the states. It tasted so good the cream wasn't as heavy. it was perfect :)

Sylvannas made with macadamia nuts. it wasnt a so so but it was also good :)

me and my cousin Jericho, the only young ones at the party

this is soo good. words cannot express :)

chocolate cake made of Lindt!! :)

my salad topped with my favorite alfalfa :)

Pampanga trip (My first meal in Pampanga)

Its already summer vacation and i couldnt think of anything else to do except relax, enjoy good food and go to an unfamiliar place. Since i don't have the budget to spend it elsewhere, i just i stayed at my cousin's house in Angeles Pampanga. It was the perfect place for me.. My goal was to document my whole stay there but unfortunately i didnt get to take a lot of pictures because i might just take away the fun of being in another place if all i think about is take pictures of everything new to me. But like what they say, to live twice, take more pictures. so i still tried my best to document it :) heres my first meal in pampanga :)

my favorite burong hipon, chicken, and another something i dont know what. Buro or fermented rice is usually served with "hito" or catfish but i can eat it with any viand. :)

my dessert plate. rum cake, mango bars, chocolate brownies and oatmeal cookie all made by my tita Gigi. She makes the best rum cake iv ever eaten.
