Movie: Paranormal 2

yesterday we watched paranormal 2 with my favorite movie buddy.. every week our movie day would be friday but for some reason we had to do it thursday this week.. paranormal 2 was a bit boring for me.. i think the thought that the movie is scary is what makes it scary? you know how our subconscious mind works? something like that.. but in reality its really not..

the first Paranormal movie was way better because when i first watched it, i wasnt sure if it was a real documented movie like blair witch project and the thought that it could be real is what makes it more scary.. plus the acting was more natural.. but over all paranormal 2 was an ok movie for me. :)

the best Hollywood family

i love the WILL SMITH family.. this is probably the best family in Hollywood that i know of. Sorry Angie, you're just second in my list :) will and jada has the most talented kids in hollywood ever,.. remember Jaden from Pursuit of hapiness? man that kid made me cry.. and who can forget his role in karate kid!! their youngest, Willow smith is already in the music industry and she's really giving Rhianna a run for her money! check her out on youtube! :)

here's a statement from will smith: "With Jada I stood up in front of God and my family and said, 'till death us do part'. Divorce cannot be an option ... I honestly believe there is no woman for me but Jada. No-one can handle me the way she does ... Once you feel someone locked in on you, it's no contest. This is it. I can't imagine what anyone else would offer."..  :)

Cadaver Art???

for the past few days, ive been really addicted to watching plastination process on youtube. iv actually lost appetite for meat which is a good thing. i think?. i got ssoo into it because we went to a mini museum at fort bayani road where they exhibit real bodies and body parts. PLASTINATION is the technique they do to preserve human bodies. like a modern mummification i guess?! but a lil far from it. The water and fat are replaced by certain plastics, yielding specimens that can be touched, do not smell or decay..

thats Gunther Von Hagens in the middle and he invented the process of plastination. this method is a bit disturbing but has a lot of benefit for medical students. the bodies they use are the ones that signed up to be plastinated when they die because they know their bodies are of no use when they are buried 6 feet under. so instead of rotting and being eaten by worms, they just signed up for it. however, some bodies are the ones not being claimed in the morgue for days.. religious people are against it because its disrespecting the dead..

yes those are real human bodies with real body parts.. and on the right, thats a body cut in half. for me that saw it personally, i kinda got freaked out and i couldnt stop thinking about it even after 3 days. we even saw skin man. a dead man carrying his own skin. the one we saw has a tattoo.. how disturbing is that?

but then again? they say everything on earth has use, even the dead can still serve the living. as for me, ill probably be a vegetarian now.

i love my life moment #1

i got this idea from my cousin who takes pleasure of the humblest things in life.he already has more than 400. sometimes, i complain about so many things i don't have and i forget to thank God about the wonderful things that i do have. im a very weak person and when im depressed, i would WISH inappropriate things that i want to happen in my life. but whatever problems we have, whatever it is, life is still worth living. so i decided to make my own i love my life moments.. even the simplest ones like this.

seeing the grand canyon for the first time, sitting there feeling the cold wind passing through my skin, smelling the breath of history in the air..man this place is ancient! God knows art! its breathtaking. no words can even describe it. i was just absolutely mesmerized! i love my life indeed :)

21

today, im finally..LEGAL! :) but in the Philippines, it really doesn't matter how old you are because you can go to a club and party all night or snatch a drink or two even if you;re 12, i just like the thought that im finally 21. some people are scared to get old.. but im not :) i like aging. heres a cake of my 20th given by who else :)

do i get a cake today? hm i wonder. thats a cake replica of me playing badminton.. but the cake designer must have thought badminton and tennis are the same. haha.. i thank God for the awesome past 21 years of my life. what to do today? of course, ill CELEBRATE THIS HEART BEAT! :)

Ketchup

ketchapie, chapopong, chapopoy, chap chap.. those are just some names i would sometimes call him. ketchup is our 1 year old spoiled shi tzu and he lives right beside our stairs. ive had shi tzu as a pet for more than half of my life and i really cried when our 11 year old spotty died 2 years ago.. i would sometimes compare spotty to ketchup but i realized that not all dogs have the same behavior. it really depends on how you raise them.. heres ketchup with his pasalubong from tita tonet spoild talaga.

they say shi tzus are the dumbest dogs on earth but i dont believe that. ketchup is unbelievably smart. he's still a baby and he already knows a lot. he's already potty trained by the way (he barks when he has to go weewee or popoo) hay ang cute :)

because i like korean food

its thursday and my sisters are not home. i had to eat dinner by myself while i watch ketchup play with his new found toy. my dinner was beef broccoli, kimchi and onion leeks (with sesame oil, chili powder and a bit of sugar) and of course there has to be a chocolate for after taste.

some people hate kimchi, but i absolutely love it specially when theres onion leeks. for me any viand combined with kimchi and leeks becomes very appetizing. i also enjoy eating it because you have to combine everything to get that mouth watering taste.. :)

thinking of owning a chow chow?

dogs are just amazing creatures to me and they just fascinate me all the time. these creatures don't have to work for a living unlike other animals. Chickens should lay eggs. Pigs will soon be eaten as a lechon.. or ham perhaps?  Carabaos should help farmers to produce rice.. but dogs? naahh.. they just have to waggle their tails when you come home after a very tiring day at work. but what if your dog is almost the exact opposite of what you expect as a loving pet? 3 months ago my boyfriend and i went to Tiendesitas and fell in love with a very cute chow. right then and there, he bought the dog and we named him sherlock (yes. as in sherlock holmes). he was 2 months when we bought him. heres a picture of the day we got our shersher.

of course we didnt know anything about the dog except by the fact that he looks absolutely lovely, innocent and sort of looks like winnie the pooh :) how can you resist that look?.. later on we realized we're actually dealing with one of the most dangerous dogs in the world. of course pitbull is number one and rotweilers the second. Sherlock is now 5 months and i cant even begin to count the number of people he's already bitten. even people that feeds him. the only person he doesnt bite is my boyfriend. his groomer already has scars from his biting. if chows are badly bred, they can become agressive dogs. i guess it depends on how you raise your pet because some chows are absolutely nice..heres sherlocks at 4 months..

cute isnt he? but we realized that sherlock needs an intervention or he'll grow up as a pain-in-the-butt type of dog. we enrolled him in a dog school at global city fort. its called pup culture. pup culture's services are grooming, dog training, baby sitiing and they also have a mini store. the concept is very cute and i enjoy going there because i see dogs playing inside their playpen. you can leave your dog there for hours if you have work and they'll take care of them, feed them and play with them. how i wish our sher sher will turn out as an obedient chow..  my fingers are crossed. help us pup culture!

katy perry nails

katy perry is probably the only female singer i adore this much.. <3 she's the coolest female singer in hollywood i know. she really sticks to what she believes in and her sense of fashion is just absolutely CRAZY.. and the good thing about her is she doesn't overdo it. and when i say overdo it means putting animal meat on your body as a dress. she can pull off anything. even a purple wig. for petes sake!!. im sure a lot of people will agree with me on this.. (maski nga nakahubad na sya sa cotton candy cloud, hindi parin malaswa tingnan). so right when i saw her pink dotted nails,/ i knew i just really had to have those..

this is katy perry's pinl polka dot nails.. i think this one is printed. you know those korean or maybe japanese machines that are used to print out designs to your nails. you just have to put your hand on a machine and they will do the job for you and you just have to choose a design. cool aeh? but i rarely see these machines so i just improvised. i used my P20 pink nail polish and my P20 black nail polish. these are the really cheap ones you can but at tianges or palengkes. very cheap and nice actually.. so heres my version.. the date on the picture is wrong by the way.

tell me what you think? if you're planning to do a polka dot nail, you just need a pink and black nail polish and a transparent top coat, a toothpick (the thick kind) and a paper.
1. paint your nails with pink nail polish. let it dry for 5 minutes
2. then get your black nail polish and put some on a paper. enough to dip your tooth pick on.
3. get your tooth pick and dip it on your black nail polish (the one on the paper) and put several dots on your nails. wait for couple of minutes and put the top coat. make sure its already dry because the balck dots might smudge. ENJOY!
